I did something cool recently: published an e-book on Amazon.com.
Yay!
Now this is not the novel I mentioned in a previous post. That will come later, and you’ll hear all about it.
This is a short children’s story I put together to get a feel for online publishing. I did all the editing and formatting myself. Even designed my own cover.
Not bad!
Reverend and Raindrop is about a young girl and a pair of horses. There’s a big storm and big drama and you should totally read it.
Here’s a link to the Amazon page. You can buy the e-book for 99 cents.
Reverend and Raindrop – Eric S. Hoffman
It’s amazing how accessible self-publishing has become in the digital era. For all its nightmarish dominance, Amazon sure makes things easy. I can now do cool things like show off my author page, and read my own book on Kindle.
This has been a great learning experience, and a primer for my next endeavor of publishing a full-length novel. One day you’ll see me on the NYT Bestseller List, I promise.
Until then, enjoy this short story and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear feedback and honest reviews. If you really like it, leave a review on Amazon and tell your friends. Everyone is stuck inside right now anyway, you might as well read something fun.
Cheers!
Eric, that is incredible! I want to read it, but I do not have Kindle. What steps should I take? Thanks. Can’t wait to read it.
Hey Renee! I will email you a copy you can read on your laptop. Stay tuned…
